Seth’s Spring Show

Last night Seth’s Pre-School had their Spring Show. All the different class performed various Disney songs. Seth’s class sang “Zippity Do Dah” and “Under the Sea”. We took lots of pictures, which I will be posting this weekend on our website, and we also video taped Seth’s performances. Seth has been practicing his Zippity Do Dah song for a couple of weeks. He was great on stage singing with his friends.

Hannah is famous!

Robin wrote this post:
Just about a year ago I found a podcast I thought I would be interested in. It was called All About the Mouse. I thought it might be fun to listen and get tips about Disneyland. When I listened to the first episode I found out it was about Disney World. I continued to listen and learned that we missed a lot and would have to get back to Florida soon. As life got busy I fell behind in listening to the podcast but I listened to the one year show and found out they were asking listeners to e-mail and get a roll-call number. So I sent in my request with a story of the first time Hannah wore her Sleeping Beauty costume to Disneyland. I also included the picture with the e-mail. Well the co-hosts of the podcast liked my letter so much they pretty much stopped the show to read it and made a really big deal about it. At the end of reading my e-mail one of the hosts said he would put up the picture on their website. If you would like to go directly to the show notes click here, and you will see Hannah and Auora (Sleeping Beauty), and you can even download the episode. The roll-call starts at 11 minutes into the podcast so have a listen, it takes about 5 minutes to listen to Hannah’s story.disneyland-2005_08831

Hannah Lost Another Tooth

Today Hannah lost tooth number four while she was at school.  Unfortunately, she swallowed her tooth, but she has the space between her teeth to show for it.  So when the Tooth Fairy visits Hannah tonight she will be receiving a dollar instead of her normal two dollars a tooth.  We will keep you up to date on Hannah’s baby teeth saying good bye.

Webkinz Weekend

This weekend the local Arts & Crafts store Beverly’s had a three-day Webkinz Extravaganza, it’s the third anniversary of the Webkinz.  We couldn’t go on Friday, but we took the kids yesterday and today.  Yesterday the kids each won a Webkinz mouse pad playing the Wheel of Wow.  They also each got a free Webkinz when they bought one.  Hannah got a  Chihuahua with a Webkinz bag, and Seth got a  Dalmatian with a yellow raincoat and hat.  They also got coloring pages for the coloring contest.  When we got home the kids colored their pages for the contest.  This afternoon we went back to Beverly’s to bring back the color pages for the contest.  Unfortunately, the kids did not win the coloring contest.  But, they did get a new Webkinz.

If you are not familiar with Webkinz, they are stuffed animals that come with a numbered tag.  The stuffed animal has a counterpart on the Webkinz website.  You register the numbered tag on the website to adopt the stuffed animal.  When you adopt it, you can name them.  After you adopt them you get a room for them that you can design, and add the room to your existing Webkinz rooms.  You also feed them, play with them, bathe them, and if they are not feeling well you can take them to the doctor.  It’s kinda of like Cabbage Patch Kids meets Tomagotchi.  Anyways, the kids enjoy playing with them both online and offline.  Offline being, playing with the actual stuffed animals.

Featured Again

I checked our Blog’s stats today, and we were featured again.  This time we were featured under The Wiggles tag.  It’s pretty cool to see your blog being featured.  Until next time, happy blogging.

Hannah’s Tooth

On Thursday Hannah lost her third tooth at school while drinking her Danimal.  I know you must be thinking how can she loose her tooth by drinking yogurt.  Well, her tooth had been loose for quite some time.  The day before it was really loose, and we tried to pull it, but it would not come out.  When Hannah lost her tooth, the school nurse gave her a little tooth shaped case to put her tooth in.  So, that night we put the tooth case in Hannah’s tooth pillow for the Tooth Fairy.  And wouldn’t you have guessed it, Hannah was visited by the Tooth Fairy that night.  The Tooth Fairy collected her tooth, and left her two dollars.  Now Hannah is one short one more baby tooth, but she is two dollars richer.  Three down and twenty-nine more to go.

Design Change

I changed the page design template.  I chose this one because I can add images to the header.  The picture I added was taken on our Sea World Trip at the Shamu Show titled Believe.  Lucky for us we were sitting far enough back that we did not get wet.

Featured Blog on WordPress.com

Looking at my stats this morning I saw that our Family Blog is the featured blog on WordPress.com, under the blogs about Shamu.  I am really excited that our Family Blog is featured.  When I started this blog, and my Tech Blog I didn’t think it would get noticed, boy was I wrong.  Thanks everyone keep reading and blogging.

Sea World Trip & Brownilympics ‘08 Slideshow - Update!

Last night I updated both of our slideshows on our website to 640×480. Originally I posted 320×240 slideshows. I was talking with my brother, and he recommended that I down size the images to 640×480, so that I can serve up a similarly sized slideshow with a bigger footprint. I took his advise, and viola, a bigger footprint slideshow without all the overhead. Hope you all enjoy the updated slideshows.
