Webkinz Weekend

This weekend the local Arts & Crafts store Beverly’s had a three-day Webkinz Extravaganza, it’s the third anniversary of the Webkinz.  We couldn’t go on Friday, but we took the kids yesterday and today.  Yesterday the kids each won a Webkinz mouse pad playing the Wheel of Wow.  They also each got a free Webkinz when they bought one.  Hannah got a  Chihuahua with a Webkinz bag, and Seth got a  Dalmatian with a yellow raincoat and hat.  They also got coloring pages for the coloring contest.  When we got home the kids colored their pages for the contest.  This afternoon we went back to Beverly’s to bring back the color pages for the contest.  Unfortunately, the kids did not win the coloring contest.  But, they did get a new Webkinz.

If you are not familiar with Webkinz, they are stuffed animals that come with a numbered tag.  The stuffed animal has a counterpart on the Webkinz website.  You register the numbered tag on the website to adopt the stuffed animal.  When you adopt it, you can name them.  After you adopt them you get a room for them that you can design, and add the room to your existing Webkinz rooms.  You also feed them, play with them, bathe them, and if they are not feeling well you can take them to the doctor.  It’s kinda of like Cabbage Patch Kids meets Tomagotchi.  Anyways, the kids enjoy playing with them both online and offline.  Offline being, playing with the actual stuffed animals.
